When you see an item you want, click the add to cart button that is near it. Once in your shopping cart, you can return to the shopping page & add more things to your cart, or you can checkout by clicking the go to payments button. To view your cart or checkout, click the checkout button that is on item pages. At the end of the checkout process, you will be asked to choose a payment method. Once you've gone through the checkout process, you will receive notification via e-mail that your payment has been received and your order is being processed.
Credit cards: I accept payment by Mastercard and Visa only at this time. If you choose to pay by credit card, you will be asked for the usual info (name, address, account numbers, etc.) on an SSL secure page. From there I have to charge your account manually (securely via ProPay), so if your card is declined, your order will be cancelled.
PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS! Please contact me if you have questions about this.
Paypal: another secure way to make payments online. You don't even need a PayPal account anymore, to pay by PayPal!
Money orders/well-concealed cash: Please be aware that I cannot be held responsible for money orders/cash that get lost in the mail. I do not accept personal checks. The address to send payments will be listed on your e-mailed receipt after you complete the checkout process.
Items that will be paid for by mail will be held for 10 days. If I don't receive payment in 10 days, the item will be taken off hold.

No animal-derived materials are ever used in any Lekkner items.
All t-shirts are pre-washed to prevent shrinking and bleeding after the item is made. I use an animal- and eco-friendly laundry soap.
If it needs interfacing, it gets it. Seams are given a professional finish with a serger. Most seams are top-stitched for a clean finish. A lot of time and care goes into each item!
Yes, I made my patterns and sized them into 5 sizes myself.
Machine washing and drying is okay for the clothing items they may need to be pressed after washing. The zip-up hoodies should definitely be washed on gentle with cold water. Accessories should be spot-cleaned.
Every bit of each t-shirt is used for something; any leftover unuseable scrap (by me) is donated to Arts & Scraps.
Im afraid I cannot take any new wholesale/consignment orders at this time.
Occasionally I will do collaborative work with folks like Jill Bliss and Herbivore Magazine: you will know about it if something like that is going on!
Its the same basic design that I put together a few years back, but now runs on a super custom-built database that my friend Ryan K. put together. He also built the database for my animal rescue fundraising project, Crafters for Critters.
Nope! I also work another job in addition to running Lekkner.
I learned how to sew as a kid: my mom sews, her mom sewed...I started hand-sewing pillows and toys and got onto the machine sometime in high school and began to make clothing. We had a serger in the house at the time (lucky!) and I began to use that as well. The serger became an important tool in this kind of work: it gives the perfect finish for t-shirt/knit seams!
You can now get the steak is wack and veggies are dope pouches exclusively at Bust Magazines Boobtique!
My do-it-yourself t-shirt scarf project is featured in the book, Tease: 50 Inspired T-shirt Transformations by Superstars of Art, Craft & Design.
I also have a t-shirt-to-tote-bag project in the book, The Crafter Culture Handbook.
I started on my grandmothers old Singer from the 1970s. I now use a Bernina 1008.
Serger: National N50E. Got it on eBay a few years back!
